Administrator, Rev Fr Banabe, our Supervisor, our
teachers and you my dear Savions
COMPERE 2: Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the
Red House Day. The theme for today’s assembly is:
                        “Obedience and Respect”.
COMPERE 1:  ”Life sends us gifts from time to time,
success comes to those who recognize and
                         accept them.”
This was experienced by Don Bosco who said,’ If
God had said to me to choose a boy endowed
with all the virtues and talent you would like him
to have, I would have never imagined anyone as
                         gifted as Fr. Rua.
COMPERE 2:  Bearing the name ‘Rua’, The Red house is
priviledged honoured and blessed to look upon
it’s Patron “The Blessed Michael Rua” and we take
“Obedience and Respect as our Motto.”
COMPERE 1:  We begin our program with our morning prayer,
friends, kindly join your hands, close your
eyes and lets all pray together.
(Prayer)
(OUR FATHER)

COMPERE 2: We now have our red house
leaders along with our house teachers
to offer the flowers to our patron
                       “THE BLESSED MICHAEL RUA”.

(OFFERING OF THE FLOWERS)

COMPERE 1:  I now call upon Master Qwain D’souza
to enlighten us with the life of our patron “The
                        Blessed Michael Rua”

(SPEECH)
Blessed Michael Rua was born on 9th
June1837, the last of the nine children
was the first successor of “St John
Bosco.” He was the first among the
few with whom Don Bosco shared the
Idea of forming the salesian society, he
                             was Don Bosco’s closest collaborator
                             in the development of the
                             congregation and was the co-founder
and first rector major  of the salesians.
Don Bosco once told him “We two
                             will go halves in everything”
Michael Rua’s own plan and action of
life was drawn through fidelity to
Don Bosco. He made the spring  into
a stream and a stream into a river.

COMPERE 2:   The Salesian family had its origin in
Don Bosco and its continuity in Michael Rua,
He made the example of Don Bosco into
a school, his rule into a spirit and his
                            holiness into a model.
Nicknamed ‘The living rule” because of
his severe loyalty, we draw inspiration
from his goodness and fatherliness, so
let’s hear and sing the respect song.

(THE RESPECT SONG)
THE RESPECT SONG - LYRICS
Everybody is special in their own way,
In the way that they look and the things that
            they say,
So let’s all get along on this wonderful day,
If you show respect to your neighbour,
They will give it back as a favour,
Let’s  all get along on this wonderful day
            Ohooooooooooooo
            Respect  yourself,
            Ohooooooooooooo
            Respect others,
            Ohooooooooooooo
            Respect your school.

COMPERE 1:      As our patron was himself a symbol of
Obedience and practiced it all through
his life ,here is a skit enacted by our friends to
show ‘How’ and ‘Why’ obedience is so
                             important in our lives.

(SKIT: THE OBEDIENT KID)
COMPERE 2:     I now request Rev. Fr. Rector to guide us
                           with his words of wisdom.

(SPEECH BY REV. FR. RECTOR)
