BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS OF FR. BOSCO

On Saturday, 30th July 2011 the Salesian Community together with the boys celebrated the birthday of Fr. Bosco Pereira. The Salesian community had the Holy Eucharist together and prayed for Fr. Bosco that the Lord may continue to give him good health that he may be able to carry on his ministry at St. Dominic Savio’s as well as Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla.

During the day Fr. Bosco had many guests and friends who came by to wish and greet him.In the evening the boarders together with Fr. Crispino and Bro. Roshan prepared a short but sweet ‘Family Circle’ in typical Salesian style to express their joy and gratitude through an address, song and dance.The juniors put up a dance and were looking very colourful and swayed to the beat of the music. 

Haydn got his group DS boys in Harmony to sing two beautiful numbers for Fr. Bosco.There was the cutting of the cake and speeches by Fr. Rector, Fr. Bosco and finally Fr. Crispino thanking one and all.

The boys had a sumptuous meal and the Community had a meal together with a number of Salesians coming from communities around Mumbai to celebrate the gift of life that was given to Fr. Bosco.We had many sweet memories to go to bed with. God bless!
