Skoch development foundation is an autonomous policy oriented body, which works towards social, digital and financial inclusion. They organized their 27th summit on 29th 30th November 2011 in New Delhi on Generating Employment. The summit had eminent speakers such as Mr. Kapil Sibal, Minister for Communications & IT; Kamal Nath, Minister, for Urban Development, K R Kamath, Chairman P&B Bank; R Chandrashekhar, Secretary, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. The need to generate 100 million jobs innovations to employment generation and the FDI policy in achievement this goal was discussed.

The second session saw drivers for Generating Employment; panelists were the Secretaries and Joint Secretaries of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Coal, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Rural Development and Head of Cluster Development Initiative and Limited United India Insurance.

A Conclave on Housing and Poverty Alleviation. Was deliberated by eminent speakers such as Aruna Sundararajan, Joint Secretary (RAY), Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Pankaj Jain, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Rakesh Ranjan, Director, Planning Commission, K K Pandey, Professor, Indian Institute of Public Affairs, Rakesh Ranjan, Director, Planning Commission, Jatinder Singh, Secretary – Education and Skill Development, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Barnabe D’Souza, Director, Don Bosco Research Institute deliberated on housing and Poverty allievation with special focus on maringlaized groups.

At the conclusion of the first day while releasing a book by Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission he and Mr. P Chidambaram Minster for Home affairs elucidated Government plans on generating employment.

On the 30th of November 2011, the 11th Thinkers and Writers Forum had speakers that were distinguished scholars from private sector coporate houses and government project partners. Ms. Divya David from Don Bosco Research Centre. Presented a paper on Gendered Employment Generation and Women Empowerment laying stress on the necessity for adequate skill formation for the marginalized groups. Fr. Barnabe D’Souza presented a paper on Skill Formation among Marginalized Youth drawn from the research of such poverty groups.
