This morning, Saturday, 3rd November 2012 the Primary Section had their Sports Day. It was a wonderful display of colour, talents, dance, and disciplines.
The lads were very well trained for the introductory welcome, each class beginning with Standard I and going through all the Primary classes until the IV standard.
There were the little ones dressed up in the African outfit to dance to Shakira's Waka Waka and they did it extremely well, shaking and swaying to the beat that kept all the parents and grandparents tapping their feet.
In the last couple of months gymnastics was introduced in the Primary and so the little lads had a couple of gymnastic stunts to perform and did very well.
The welcome to the parents and guests were done well by the comperes and the torch bearers were indeed smart in running with the torch and passing it on to Fr. Godfrey who was the Chief guest for the day.
Fr. Principal declared the Sports Festival open and there was excitement and enthusiasm on the faces of the youngsters. The parents were enjoying every moment of the show.
Thank you my dear staff of the Primary section for a well done Sports Festival. You did put in a lot of work and much sacrifice to get things going. The show was GRAND and BEAUTIFUL. Congrats to the Supervisor Mrs. Maria Xavier and the entire staff and all the parents who were involved in this preparation.
We now look forward to the Childrens' Day Celebration on the 6th November; the Secondary Sports Festival on the 8th & 9th November and the Secondary School picnic on the 10th November.
After that it is HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!
