Crispino Dsouza, our Supervisor Mrs. Maria Xavier, class teachers Mrs Soumya Khosla,Mrs Andrea Gonsalves, ourmusic teacher Sir Elvis and all the lovely parents gathered together to celeberate their class cultural day. As they say ‘Man is born broken, he lives by others mending him because of Gods grace we are bound together.

The Programme began with a prayer to God through a Hymn ‘LET THERE BE LOVE’

To love and to be loved is to feel the sun from both sides and as the children proceeded further with the program , it reminded them of a saying:
‘I hear and I forget, I see and I remember,
I do and I understand.’

This is what they learnt from their very own Rev. Fr. Principal who shared a few of his thoughts of wisdom with the gathering

It is quite, right now as we the little Savions would want to spread our love far and wide to the less fortunate ones in our theme for today which is Youth Street and what can we learn better from our very own benefactors who toil hard to take care of the underprivileged youth, we see their work in the evening school, the Balprafulta, the shelter home at Wadala.

The students presented THE MUSICAL-LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING

The musical ”Love changes everything” was based on the real life stories of the street children, where in Rahul believed that Love could change the lives if each one does his bit, He tried to bring a change in the lives of three boys namely Tanish,Babloo and Charles.

SEVERN SUZUKI a teenager, on behalf of the ECHO group of children’s organization voiced her opinion in her amazing speech. Accordingly- I am here to speak for all generations to come and on behalf of the starving children around the world whose cries are unheard. I am a mummy’s child and I am not afraid of telling the world How and What I fear? In our country we make so much waste, we buy and throw and yet in no countries we share with the needy, even when we have more than enough, we are afraid to share. She concludes the speech with giving us some food for thought:

Are we ready to change and if so,
Are we sharing love?

Because it is LOVE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

The children then presented a lively dance based on love titled ‘Dil na liya,Dil na diya’.

They say “Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand. We at St Dominic Savio are so fortunate and privileged to have amongst us our dear Rector Rev. Fr. GODFREY DSOUZA who is always there to guide us in all the situations

The programme concluded by reminding ourselves that it is ‘WE’ who make the world or break the world with a song WE ARE THE WORLD
